Hi friend! I’m Shabi - like not too shabby.
I started Market Candle Company during a deeply personal season of my fertility journey. What began as a way to keep my hands busy and my heart steady at my kitchen counter in 2019 slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
Today, we hand-pour clean-burning, thoughtfully designed home fragrance in our Newmarket studio. More than candles, we create atmosphere - the glow of a slow morning, the warmth of a dinner table, the feeling of coming home. Building this company has stretched me as a founder, a leader, and a mother. It’s shown me that growth and heart can coexist, and that purpose lives in the small, consistent decisions we make every day.

We are sisters, mothers, wives, friends - and everything in between. We juggle school pickups and production runs. Group chats and wholesale orders. Creative ideas and operational spreadsheets. We work hard, we move fast, and we care deeply about the details.
Every candle that leaves our studio has passed through thoughtful hands. We pour, wick, label, test, pack, merchandise, host workshops, and show up for our community - all with intention.
And just to be clear - don’t get caught asking where the “muscle” is. You’re looking at it.
